News:

(11/18/05) - Medium's November 21st 3-D episode ("Still Life") will be introduced by Rod Serling, the late creator of The Twilight Zone. Serling's appearance was created from old footage and voiced by actor Mark Silverman. Serling will explain to the viewers how they will know when to put on the red-and-blue glasses needed to view the episode's 3-D segments.

You can get your 3-D glasses in this week's TV Guide, which has Medium on the cover. Also, glasses are being distributed by Sprint street teams in major cities throughout the country and at Universal Theme Parks.

(05/05/05) - According to Variety, Paramount has sold Medium to the BBC, which has U.K. terrestrial rights. Surprisingly, the network picked up the series despite a government warning not to buy U.S. content unless it serves a "public purpose." The last time BBC bought a U.S. series for its main terrestrial network, BBC1, was Band Of Brothers in 2001. Medium is likely to air on BBC1 in a post-10:30 p.m. weekday slot this summer.

(01/31/05) - NBC announced an unusual early 22-episode renewal to its midseason supernatural series Medium. Medium has averaged a 6.2 rating among adults 18-49, drawing 15.7 million viewers overall to double NBC's average audience in the time period, compared with earlier in the season. In addition, NBC has ordered three additional episodes for this spring, bringing the total number of episodes ordered for its first season to 16.

(01/25/05) - In a Yahoo! news article about NBC's moderate ratings, NBC president, Jeff Zucker, said:

"Four other new NBC shows that have been modest successes Medium, Committed, The Biggest Loser and Medical Investigation will also likely be back next season."

(01/12/05) - Monday's episode of Medium retained nearly 100% of its premiere numbers in both households (10.5) and adults 18-49 (6.3).

(01/05/05) - According to Variety, the January 3rd premiere of Medium generated the network's best numbers for a drama premiere in more than four years and finished a close second in demographics to CBS' hit CSI: Miami. Medium scored a 6.3 rating and 16 share (16.09 million viewers), the best results for a Monday debut on the network in nearly 11 years and the best for a drama on any night since Ed in October 2000.
